Marc in the Gulf War - 1991 Welcome to VeteransAgainstTheWar.com. This site's purpose is to allow open discussion about the war in Iraq. I felt this site was necessary as when people say they are against the war their patriotism is questioned. As a veteran, I feel no one has the right to question my patriotism, yet I am vehemently against this war. My in depth thoughts can be found here. Let us here yours. Anyone can make posts or comments here simply by registering and assigning yourself your own login and password. You don't need to be a veteran. However, if you are a veteran, please state so in your post or comments. You don't have to be against the war either to post or comment. We want to hear all sides, just don't question another veterans patriotism. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome. We are looking to organize and setup peaceful protests throughout the country to get people more involved. Perhaps, united, we can make a difference and bring our soldiers home and ready to go where they are most needed. Remember, whether you support the war or not, always support our soldiers as they make the ultimate sacrifice to be the guardians of our freedom.

I’m an Iraq War Veteran and I am ashamed of my service for a government that lied to get us into his war. I served a government that carried out the 9/11 attacks on the WTC and Pentagon. That’s right - I said that our government carried out the attacks. I have plenty of evidence if anyone would care to challenge that statement. The question is why. Why would our government feel the need to do such a thing? Why would they kill our own people? Well, the answer is the same as it has always been when it comes to corruption – money and power, power and money. What were the results of the 9/11 attacks? A war in Afghanistan and subsequently a war in Iraq. What else? The patriot act, the creation of the department of Homeland Security, and the concentration of more power in fewer hands than in the history of the United States. It is clear who has benefited from the War on Terror and the War in Iraq.
KBR - or Kellogg, Brown and Root, a subsidiary of Halliburton is making billions over in Iraq. Make no mistake about it - we attacked and murdered some of the poorest people in the world in order to make some of the richest people in the world even richer. Follow the money. Who is benefiting from the war in Iraq most? Could it be U.S. Defense contractors? Could it be Oil Contractors? We also have no intentions of leaving Iraq. It doesn’t matter that the democrats won this most recent mid-term elections. They take money from the same people that the Republicans do. Neither party is any good. They are all lying scum-bag opportunist that are not serving in congress for the betterment of the country, but for the betterment of their wallets.
That’s all I say for now - if anyone would like to respond to my comments please do - but don’t go spewing the party-line bullshit. Do your homework first, because believe me, I have.

We haven’t learned yet

I strongly oppose the War in Iraq for two reasons. #1. The day before the war started Vice President Cheney signed a open dollar contract with Haliburton, this was done for only one reason if they control the oil out of Iraq they will control the most powerful influence on the priceof it. . I am a Vietnam Veteran and any Veteran of that war knows you can’t fight a war a win with a enemy you cannot see. The tattics the terroist are using are the same as the North Vietnamese used on us. The higher our numbers of dead and wounded get the more the public in this country will be opposed to it and our governments policies towards it. Evidently our public learned something from Vietnam too bad this administration’s leaders skipped the lessons of Vietnam

Boycott Sinclair Advertisers

Click Here for website: Sinclair Action

Feel helpless after the election, offended how the majority of media show a one sided biased view of the war and the current administration? Here is a website that has a great idea: Boycott the businesses that fund these media moguls and send them letters telling them why. I’m gonna have to get a new cell phone provider as SPRINT is on the list. Damn.

This is pathetic. Alright If this article pisses you off, these are the numbers to call:

U.S. Senate: Hillary Clinton: 202-224-4451; Charles Schumer: 212-486-4430
U.S. House of Representatives: Maurice Hinchey: 845-344-3211; Sue Kelly: 845-897-5200
Secretary of Defense: Donald Rumsfeld: 703-692-7100
Fort Hood: Major General James D. Thurman: 254-288-2255 or Fort Hood operator at 254-287-1110; Public Information Officer Jim Whitmeyer: 254-287-0103

I’ll see if their is something we can do on our end. Perhaps some kind of fund raiser. More on this soon …

Ex-CIA officer alleges agency retaliated after he didn’t falsify report

So let me get this right: It is a horrible thing and worthy of an impeachment if you lie about receiving a hummer in the white house but if you lie about weapons of mass destruction which is the basis for the war and now over 1,000 US soldiers are dead , that is okay and gets you re-elected. Something is seriously wrong with our VALUES!!!!!

Homeless Iraq vets showing up at shelters

We ask these guys to make the ultimate sacrifice, the least we can do is take care of them when they return. This is just pathetic. The economy must be pretty bad if people are still enlisting knowing that this is going on.

“The American people must understand that democracy just doesn’t happen overnight,” he said. “It is a process. It is an evolution. After all, look at our own history. We had great principles enunciated in our Declarations of Independence and our Constitution, yet, we had slavery for a hundred years. It takes a while for democracy to take hold. And this is a major first step in a society which enables people to express their beliefs and their opinions.” -

Our Troops don’t have a hundred years to make Iraq free. Our government needs to be straight with its people and lets us determine how much we will put up with

AWOL US soldier pleas for refuge in Canada

If we truly have a volunteer Army than why must we threaten this young man. He already served in Afganistan. We hear from our government that they are exceeding all of their quota’s for enlistment. I understand that you enlist knowing that you can be sent to war but this man went to war and just realized he didn’t have the stomach for it or possibly other reasons. Whatever those reasons are though, if we truly have a volunteer Military than let this man perform a non-combatant role in the states until the end of his enlistment. Your thoughts?
