Devil dog in the house. I just watched the movie jar head; I was a post desert storm vet and pre Iraq/Afgan conflict… I am a cuban marine I got their right after the cuban migration. I thought the movie was an accurate betrayal of the not war - war. A war in general is something requiring two opposing forces. So dam insane was crushed by the boys in the air! Just like last time. I would not exactly call a pipe bomb an opposing force. If the Iraqi’s want to kill themselves I say who are we to stop them and their fundementalism at work. The best thing for the world is a few less religious nut jobs!

I am a turn coat over this “war” issue. I live in Texas and must say voted republican before the war. Afterward I became my precinct’s democratic party chair! I remember being at a friends college graduation and one of his friends was an army boy supoosed “grunt” turned nurse trying to go doctor. Well I am a grunt the real meal deal 0352 tow gunner. I went to the school of really hard knocks. Infantry training batallion camp pen cali! He actually had the gall to question my patriotism…. any marine knows that grunts live for the kill… we work at it our whole time in the service and dedicate our lives giving everything up for it…. I had buddys kill themselves when their girls left them. One guy unked on the rifle range in boot blew his head off! Most people probably can’t get where I am coming from in this part of the post. But you surrender everything! You give up everything. Your family, your friends, your girl/boyfriends, possible carreers, college, all and you dedicate your life to one thing for approximately 4 years. What is so screw up about it is that one thing is conflict with another human being that might speak a different language or dress differently. We call it names like defending freedom or protecting our way of life??? What is freedom do any of us still know? Its something that seems to have been lost by the way side… I mean our fore fathers knew what to oppose tyranny was but do we?

I mean aren’t we the tyrants? Didn’t we threaten the French that if they went social/communism (post ww2) we’d cut them off. Aren’t we the one who try to impose our way of life and view point on other countries and doesn’t that really make us the tyrants? We are the “new rome” and with all things roman time erodes the power. AMERICA was found on the ideal that governement only works in small groups… so why is 1 man in 1 building given so much power… is it so we can be tyrants?

I remember listening to Buchanon speak about Paris Hilton. He said something along the lines of her actions were normal in the corrosion of society; it was common place to see the children of the elite act this way with the destruction of a society… being us; the New Rome! Well buchanon is a man that comes from wealth and power look back a t previous presidents and their relation to him and you will see what I mean. I guess the elite and wealthy will just never learn from the lessons of their predessors and will be doomed to repeat them. Rome was not built in a day… and it didn’t fall in a day either… but it did fall!

The constitution says you have the right to over throw the government. This is no plea for such a thing!!!!!!!!!!! but freedom is only renewed on the backs of patriots! Americans need to turn inward and quit trying to fix what is wrong with America by going outside the boundaries of our country and start trying to fix whats wrong inside it! We as Americans are good at thinking this an issue for the politicians to fix! Inturn we let that eliminate us from the political process. The issue is the distribution of wealth in America! where 1% decide what the other 90% are going to do. Of the US senators only 1 has a child in the military (per farenheit 911) that is a woman… almost no chance of being in conflict! There is something fundamnetally wrong with the statistic of 98% of those in the military come from poor to low middle class earnings. There is something wrong with recruiters being told to work the poorer areas hardest and more recruits being alocated to those areas. Something wrong with recruiters being given access to our public education system… where the well to dos and such will not be found!
